Concept:
Light and sound are the elements that aim the artist’s search. In this new installation, using the metaphor of dices, Gianluca Codeghini wants to involve the viewer in a suspended reflection, perceptively unfinished, a game to play. Even sides are sounding and have woofers, odd sides are luminous and have spotlights. The two dices are apparently still in one instant of their trajectory, a suspention that evocates the gesture and points to the end. It is a sculpture that “says and not says”, denying itself, “dice and not dice” but is also a pleasurable contact with mutating things. Seeing and listening are the main characters in the event’s slow development. The first one is stimulated by a game of lights, while rhytmic structure accompains the phrase: “a dumb says to a deaf: a blind is watching us”. So the viewer is in a perceptive play, becomes else, image, reflection of a mutating space, but at this point the die is cast, Les jeux sont fait...
La dimensione della luce e del suono sono i fattori che animano la ricerca dell’artista; in questa nuova installazione, Gianluca Codeghini, mediante la metafora del gioco dei dadi, intende coinvolgere lo spettatore in una riflessione sospesa, percettivamente incompiuta, da giocare. I lati pari sono sonori e hanno dei woofer, i lati dispari sono luminosi e hanno dei faretti. I due dadi sono apparentemente immobili in un fermo immagine che documenta un istante della loro traiettoria, una sospensione che evoca il gesto e allude alla fine. E’ una scultura che “dice non-dice”, che nega se stessa “dado non dado”, ma che č anche un ritorno al contatto piacevole delle cose elusive e mutevoli. Il lento svolgersi dell’evento ha come protagonisti il vedere e l’ascoltare, il primo č stimolato da un gioco di luci mentre il secondo č risuonato da strutture ritmiche che accompagnano in loop la frase “un muto dice a un sordo c’č un cieco che ci osserva”.
Dunque lo spettatore viene rimesso in gioco percettivamente, rigiocato, diventa altro, immagine, riflessione, visualizzazione di uno spazio in movimento ma a questo punto i dadi sono tratti, Les jeux sont fait…
